A True Event

It was a sports stadium. Eight Children were standing on the track to participate in the running event. * Ready! * Steady! * Bang !!! With the sound of Toy pistol , all eight girls started running. Hardly have they covered ten to fifteen steps , one of the smaller girl slipped and fell down, due to bruises and pain she started crying. When other seven girls heard this sound, stopped running, stood for awhile and turned back , they all ran back to the place where the girl fell down. One among them bent, picked and kissed the girl gently and enquired 'Now pain must have reduced'. All seven girls lifted the fallen girl, pacified her, two of them held the girl firmly and they all seven joined hands together and walked together and reached the winning post. Officials were shocked. Clapping of thousands of spectators filled the stadium. Many eyes were filled with tears. YES. This happened in India recently! The sport was conducted by National Institute of Mental Health. All these spe...

What is inside me? Self Destruction/ Description

I face the world with a smile, no one knows what is hid inside. They see only happiness, they cant see the tears I've cried. When I am alone I hurt, because here I do it well. In front of all the watchful eyes my heaven turns to hell. The judge and jury awaits me, everyone has a say. In a life that hangs suspended for yet another day. Who are they to judge if what I have done is right or wrong? In the end I gave her up, but inside still sing her song. I don't know how to find the strength I thought I had. If only I could play tough it wouldn't be so bad. They say that life goes on and someday I'll smile again. But, how do they know my pain without being where I've been? I've traveled so far from home, and can't find my way back. Somewhere along the way I must have jumped the track. I saw her couple of days back and her smile is still the same. She looked at me so sweetly, but never spoke my name. I wonder if she remembers me. It hasn't been that long. Sh...

Love Hurts

It hurts when you are betrayed. When you feel you truly know someone and they behave in a way that is totally selfish and uncaring. When you see someone on a downward spiral and they either won't or don't seem to know how to put on the brakes. ************************************* You'll never know How much I loved you, How much I cared. You'll never know About my pain, About my broken heart. You'll never know How much I cried, Just lying on my bed, thinking of you! I can't Forget what I felt for you because it just doesn't go away. No matter how hard I try it seems I just can't move away. I'm caught along those false lines of so-called love. Where a heart remains Battered and broken in half. It hurts a lot that you just walk away, And I'm left trying to pick up the pieces and find my own way. It hurts a lot because you don't really care, When you said * I Love You * - it was just a way to ensnare.. The Endings Are Painful, Yet Again You Wi...

Sadness

Sadness is a feeling . It's one of the many normal human emotions, or moods, we all have. When you're sad, the world may seem dark and unfriendly. You might feel like you have nothing to look forward to. The hurt deep inside may crush your usually good mood. Sadness makes you feel like crying, and sometimes the tears are hard to stop. Crying often makes you feel better. Sometimes when your mood is sad, you just feel like being alone for a little while. Or you might want someone to comfort you or just keep you company while you go through the sad feeling. Talking about what has made you sad usually helps the sad feeling. But the base-line is TRUST GOD, HE WILL HELP. Ending your life is not the solution of any problem!

A beautiful story about LIFE

A young man was getting ready to graduate college. For many months he had admired a beautiful sports car in a dealer's showroom, and knowing his father could well afford it, he told him that was all he wanted. As Graduation Day approached, the young man awaited signs that his father had purchased the car. Finally, on the morning of his graduation his father called him into his private study. His father told him how proud he was to have such a fine son, and told him how much he loved him. He handed his son a beautiful wrapped gift box. Curious, but somewhat disappointed the young man opened the box and found a lovely, leather-bound Bible. Angrily, he raised his voice at his father and said, "With all your money you give me a Bible?" and stormed out of the house, leaving the holy book. Many years passed and the young man was very successful in business. He had a beautiful home and wonderful family, but realized his father was very old, and thought perhaps he should go to hi...

Look out for Simple Solutions

Case 1: One of the most memorable case studies on Japanese management was the case of the empty soapbox, which happened in one of Japan's biggest cosmetics companies. The company received a complaint that a consumer had bought a soapbox that was empty. Immediately the authorities isolated the problem to the assembly line, which transported all the packaged boxes of soap to the delivery department. For some reason, one soapbox went through the assembly line empty. Management asked its engineers to solve the problem. Post-haste, the engineers worked hard to devise an X-ray machine with high-resolution monitors manned by two people to watch all the soapboxes that passed through the line to make sure they were not empty. No doubt, they worked hard and they worked fast but they spent a Whoopee amount to do so. But when a rank-and-file employee in a small company was posed with the same problem, he did not get into complications of X-rays, etc., but instead came out with another solution...

What is Love?

What is LOVE ? Its when u hide tears n still care for her . Its when she ignores u n u still LOVE her . Its when she begins to love ANOTHER n u still SMILE! Love : Its not the "presence" of something which brings "meaning" to life, But its the way that "someone" touches ur heart which gives life a beautiful meaning..

Nice article about LOVE

I once had a friend who grew to be very close to me. Once when we were sitting at the edge of a swimming pool, she filled the palm of her hand with some water and held it before me, and said this: "You see this water carefully contained on my hand? It symbolizes Love." This was how I saw it: As long as you keep your hand caringly open and allow it to remain there, it will always be there. However, if you attempt to close your fingers round it and try to posses it, it will spill through the first cracks it finds. This is the greatest mistake that people do when they meet love...they try to posses it, they demand, they expect... and just like the water spilling out of your hand, love will retrieve from you . For love is meant to be free, you cannot change its nature. If there are people you love, allow them to be free beings. Give and don't expect. Advise, but don't order. Ask, but never demand. It might sound simple, but it is a lesson that may take a lifetime to truly...

A Date

After 21 years of marriage, my wife wanted me to take another woman out to dinner and a movie. She said I love you but I know this other woman loves you and would love to spend some time with you.The other woman that my wife wanted me to visit was my MOTHER, who has been a widow for 19 years, but the demands of my work and my three children had made it possible to visit her only occasionally. That night I called to invite her to go out for dinner and a movie. "What's wrong, are you well," she asked? My mother is the type of woman who suspects that a late night call or a surprise invitation is a sign of bad news. "I thought that it would be pleasant to be with you," I responded. "Just the two of us." She thought about it for a moment, and then said, "I would like that very much." That Friday afterwork, as I drove over to pick her up I was a bit nervous. When I arrived at her house, I noticed that she, too, seemed to be nervous about our date. ...

Love Hurts

Of all pains, the greatest pain, Is to love, and to love in vain. Why is it that we don't always recognize the moment love begins, but we always recognize the moment it ends? Love is like war: easy to begin but hard to end. The pain of love is the pain of being alive. It is a perpetual wound. No matter how badly your heart is broken, the world does not stop for your grief! Hearts will never be practical until they are made unbreakable. There is love of course. And then there's life, its enemy. Love means exposing yourself to the pain of being hurt, deeply hurt by someone you trust You really shouldn't say 'I love you' unless you mean it. But if you mean it, you should say it a lot. People forget. Anyne who loves must know how to lose themselves and find themselves again.

What is A Relationship?

TRUST TRUST is a very important factor for all relationships. When trust is broken, it is the end of the relationship. Lack of trust leads to suspicion, suspicion generates anger, anger causes enmity and enmity may result in separation. A telephone operator told me that one day she received a phone call. She answered, "Public Utilities Board." There was silence. She repeated, "PUB." There was still no answer. When she was going to cut off the line, she Heard a lady's voice, "Oh, so this is PUB. Sorry, I got the number from my Husband's pocket but I do not know whose number it is." Without mutual trust, just imagine what will happen to the couple if the telephone operator answered with just "hello" instead of "PUB". NO POINTING FINGERS A man asked his father-in-law, "Many people praised you for a successful marriage. Could you please share with me your secret?" The father-in-law answered in a smile, "Never critic...

What I have learned about LIFE

I've learned that we don't have to change friends if we understand that friends change. I've learned that no matter how good a friend is, they're going to hurt you every once in a while and you must forgive them for that. I've learned that true friendship continues to grow, even over the longest distance. The same goes for true love. I've learned that you can do something in an instant that will give you heartache for life. I've learned that it's taking me a long time to become the person I want to be. I've learned that you should always leave loved ones with loving words. It may be the last time you see them. (Om) I've learned that we are responsible for what we do, no matter how we feel. I've learned that regardless of how hot and steamy a relationship is at first, the passion fades and there had better be something else to take its place. I've learned that sometimes the people you expect to kick you when you're down, will be the on...

TeamWork

Once upon a time a tortoise and a hare had an argument about who was faster . They decided to settle the argument with a race. They agreed on a route and started off the race. The hare shot ahead and ran briskly for some time. Then seeing that he was far ahead of the tortoise, he thought he'd sit under a tree for some time and relax before continuing the race. He sat under the tree and soon fell asleep. The tortoise plodding on overtook him and soon finished the race, emerging as the undisputed champ. The hare woke up and realized that he'd lost the race. The moral- "Slow and steady wins the race." (This is the version of the story that we've all grown up with). THE STORY DOESN'T END HERE... there are few more interesting things.....it continues as follows...... The hare was disappointed at losing the race and he did some soul-searching. He realized that he'd lost the race only because he had been overconfident, careless and lax. If he had not taken things...

Smile

The person who is always smiling doesn't mean that he has no problems. But the smile shows that he has ability to overcome all those problems. The True meaning of Life is to Plant Trees under whose shade you do not Expect to Sit!!

Dont fall in Love

I know that we will be together again some day, When that day comes we will have nothing but Smiles on our faces and our skies no longer grey. MISSING U IS NOT A GAME 2 PLAY, MISSING U IS NOT A WORD 2 SAY, MISSING U DOES NOT START IN APRIL AND END IN MAY, MISSING U IS A PAIN THAT I FEEL EVERY DAY................!

EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON

Have you ever been in a bad situation where everything in your life goes wrong & you just feel like giving up? Well this year I found my self in that situation where everything just went bad & then it got worse & worse. I had people telling me that everything happens for a reason & that sooner or later I would find out what it was. Of course, as depressed as I could be, I doubted it. When it's YOU, the whole world can tell you it will get better, but you don't believe it till you see it with your own eyes. So time went by & I kept on feeling the same way. Then one day I knew it in me what that reason was, why I had to go through all the things I did. It's part of growing up & learning to appreciating what you have every day; all those little things that we take for granted sometimes. I feel that all the things that happened to me this year made me a stronger person than I was before. I appreciate all those little things that I took for granted before...

Adjust or Don't fall in Love

I believe the image is SELF-EXPLANATORY!

Someday I will love myself (maybe)!

Maybe. . . we were supposed to meet the wrong people before meeting the right one so that, when we finally meet the right person, we will know how to be grateful for that gift. Maybe . . . when the door of happiness closes, another opens; but, oftentimes, we look so long at the closed door that we don't even see the new one which has been opened for us. Maybe . . . it is true that we don't know what we have until we lose it, but it is also true that we don't know what we have been missing until it arrives. Maybe . . . the happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most that comes along their way. Maybe . . . the brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past; after all, you can't go on successfully in life until you let go of your past mistakes, failures and heartaches. Maybe . . . there are moments in life when you miss someone -- a parent, aspouse, a friend, a child -- so much that you just want to pick them fro...

9 Rules for Starting a New Day

1. TODAY I WILL NOT STRIKE BACK: If someone is rude, if someone is impatient, if someone is unkind... I will not respond in a like manner 2. TODAY I WILL ASK GOD TO BLESS MY "ENEMY": If I come across someone who treats me harshly or unfairly, I will quietly ask God to bless that individual. I understand the "enemy" could be a family member, neighbor, co-worker, or a stranger. 3. TODAY I WILL BE CAREFUL ABOUT WHAT I SAY: I will carefully choose and guard my words being certain that I do not spread gossip. 4. TODAY I WILL GO THE EXTRA MILE: I will find ways to help share the burden of another person. 5. TODAY I WILL FORGIVE: I will forgive any hurts or injuries that come my way but wont forget as it helps to grow mentally. 6. TODAY I WILL TREAT OTHERS THE WAY I WISH TO BE TREATED: I will practice the golden rule - "Do unto others as I would have them do unto me" - with everyone I encounter. 7. TODAY I WILL RAISE THE SPIRITS OF SOMEONE I DISCOURAGED: My smile...

Chanakya's Quotes - Worth reading a million times

A person should not be too honest. Straight trees are cut firstand Honest people are victimized first. Even if a snake is not poisonous,it should pretend to be venomous. There is some self-interest behind every friendship. There is no Friendship without self-interests. This is a bitter truth. Before you start some work, always ask yourself three questions - Why am I doing it, What the results might be and Will I be successful. Only when you think deeplyand find satisfactory answers to these questions, go ahead. As soon as the fear approaches near, attack and destroy it. Once you start working on something, don't be afraid of failure anddon't abandon it. People who work sincerely are the happiest. The fragrance of flowers spreadonly in the direction of the wind. But the goodness of a person spreads in all directions. A man is great by deeds, not by birth. Treat your kid like a darling for the first five years. For the next five years, scold them.By the time they turn sixteen, t...
